8 matches after, my take on IPL.

1.. McGrath is the name for the scorers, for the rest he is Pidge. Gilchrist is Gilly, Vass is Vassy. May be we can have a quiz program and test the nickname skills of the participants.
2. May be we can also ask viewers to SMS good nicknames and award the best ones. Imagine the revenues that can be generated.
3. Cheerleaders are the ones putting in the most effort. Will be interesting if there is an auction system and Icon status for them.
4. Since it is all about generating income may be the sponsors can come up with an idea where viewers can rate the cheerleaders and win prices.
5. Do not be a hypocrite and ask IPL how they can use resources from rebel ICL. In free world economy talent crunch can throw up strange bedfellows. Are you suggesting that IPL concept itself is borrowed from ICL?
6. Is it coincidental that majority of major performers are Aussies and an odd Newzelander. Are we to suggest that they are performing to enhance their bid value?
7. Even when he is smashed to the boundary by a man in a cast-off baseball outfit, a small smile seems to play about the lips of Glenn McGrath, oops Pidge. If you do not see the sportsman spirit and see only the size of the cheque he will be taking home at the end of the month, sorry.
8. In between all these did you honestly notice Pidge bowl a wicket maiden, a maiden and a mesmerising spell by Warne? Well then, you are still a romantic.
